Semester Review :)
I thought 2D art was fun. I think my favorite part would have to be the masterpiece study. I picked Starry Night since it would be perfect with oil pastels. I liked using acrylic paints and graphite pencils. The projects we were assigned were fun and creative. I liked having people I knew around me to help me find ideas.
I won't be taking another art class next year. If I was going to I think I would take 3D art because working with the clay would be fun and interesting. The mixed media project was 3D and I really liked making it. Overall I really enjoyed this art class and the people in it. I will definitely miss this class because there is no other class with this much creativity. The only thing that I didn't really like and struggled with was the cleaning. I always forgot to clean my brushes and they got hard and nasty.
I commented on Mackenzie and Logan's blogs.

PicMonkey Changes :)
I cropped it, then I got rid of our red eyes, and finally added PROM 2012 to the bottom.
This is the same picture again and I added a pushpin, then a scrap piece of paper and added the label PROM.
On this one I cropped it, then I added the effect dusk, and finished it off with a nice frame.
I cropped it, then took away the redness in our eyes, made mine brighter, and then whitened everyone's teeth.
PicMonkey Changes :)
I changed the contrast and added the effect called boost. Then I tried to take the shininess shininess off of our faces but it didn't really work.
I changed it to black and white, then I added the title prom and a nice frame to finish it off.
This one I used the effect gritty, then I added the label PROM! and finished it off with another frame.

PicMonkey Changes :)
This one is the original the one below I changed by changing the contrast. I cropped it and changed it so it's now black and white. I also used the shine be gone on our faces.
This next one I changed the effect to Tranquil and I cropped it. I also made it so our eyes weren't red. I also added mascara to my eyes.
This is the same picture but I gave us both spray tans, removed the red eyes, and added the cinerama feature.

Study Masterpiece: Starry Night
I used oil pastels and I thought it went really well. I loved how it turned out! The hardest part was mixing the skies colors. Also the the yellow would mix with the blue making a green color so I had to use white to lighten it up. I also thought that I could have worked more on the outline but it looks alright. Overall this was a fin project and my favorite part was just using the oil pastels, and having fun with it!

2D Mixed Media Project

I used feathers, buttons, beads, a mouse pad, a tampon, a colored pencil, yarn, a grill, and more beads. I also used some paint and lots of glue. I had a lot of fun with this project and it really was a cute way to make my life fun. I also thought it was harder to glue all of the beads down. I thought that it turned out really well and I liked how the feathers added to it! I love this project and it was easy!

Non Objective Painting :)

I used acrylic paints and brushes with some masking tape. I liked how the tape I put down turned out. I thought the taping went well. I liked using bright colors and glitter to make it stand out. I didn't like painting without the tape. I thought that it was a fun project and was almost all your creativity.

Surrealism Painting :)

I painted a large ball of yarn in a city! This is supposed to be dream like and the background is the sky and the middle area was all the buildings and the foreground was houses and grass. I learned that it's hard to mix colors to get the exact color you want. I thought the strength for me was the shading in the yarn ball. I would improve my buildings and make them more detailed. Overall I liked how it turned out and like how colorful and bright it is! :)

ACRYLIC POINTILLISM PAINTING :)

This project was was made with acrylic paint and it was really fun to do. I learned that the more you paint the easier it gets. I thought my strengths were the blending of the colors. I think that I could improve on the leaves, I don't really like how they turned out. Other than that I think it was decent .

Tempera Painting :)

This is a Tempera project that I used Tempera Paint on. I learned that it's very time consuming and takes a while to get a good start on it. I think that the water and sky went really well but I didn't really like the lighthouse. Next time I would take more time to do it because it felt really rushed but overall it turned out okay.
